Energizing Ginger Berry Smoothie

  • 1 small chunk of ginger about an inch, coarsely grated or chopped
  • 1 lemon peeled, quartered
  • 1 cup frozen blueberries strawberries, raspberries (or any combination you prefer)
  • 1 banana peeled, chopped
  • 1 stalk of celery chopped
  • ½ cup fresh parsley or mint leaves and stems
  • 2-3 big leaves of kale chopped
  • 1 scoop protein powder
  • Filtered water
  • Ice


  1. Place berries, ginger, lemon, banana, and protein powder in a blend with just barely enough water to cover and blend.
  2. Add the celery, parsley, and kale, and blend until smooth.
  3. Once smooth, add as much ice as you want, and blend again until incorporated, about 30 seconds.
  4. Drink immediately.
